I didn't detect much in the ways of pve scrubbery in his post. Rather its the Pve'rs that keep buying keys from us PvP'rs and getting ripped off by this lulzy chest that are the only ones here who need a slap to the forehead.

Still trying to sell the compass for ~70k, had I just sold the keys @ 3k it would have been about the same. Chest are always roll of the dice, house wins in the end affairs though. If you don't want to gamble farm boring gold drops again and again.

I spent about 200 keys, since the introduction of the chest, items I got from it sold for ~200k, but you dont hear me complaining, I still think its a nice addition to the game. Yes, its a gold sink, but its mainly for the pvp'ers who already had UAX for ages, who didnt have anything else to spend their balthazar faction on...
Everyone knows the risks, everyone knows what you Can win ( everlasting tonics, eternal blades... ) but these chances are VERY slim ( understatement of the year? ), so if you get crap, deal with it.

This still doesnt mean that I dont call the chest bad names and whatever if I get crap after using it 20 times though

This is the thing though, it isn't really a gold sink at all, no money gets removed from the "economy" in any sense, and in fact, money is getting put back in through trash golds being merc'd etc.

The people you buy keys from, the gold you spend doesn't "go anywhere" except to that person

As a side note, i've had nothing of value drop, but i've only used about 30 keys. Mostly trash golds, cremes etc.

I might complain if I purchased a tonne of keys and got nothing but crap...

That being said its easy for even a PvE player such as myself to earn plenty of free keys in AB, so why would I ever bother buying keys?

I use the keys rather then sell them because I guess I am just one of those few players left that thinks ANY gold item that drops for me is a good thing!
